Sugar and Crumb Icing Sugar Review

Good Morning Everyone.

I love to cook, I love to bake and love to try new things. Hence why I started a cake and bakes business.

There is one thing I love more than anything and that's trying new flavours. This is where the amazing brand Sugar and Crumbs come in. Sugar and Crumb have an amazing range of natural icing sugar and cocoa powder  that I just couldn’t refuse trying out. Not only that, it was the perfect excuse to bake cake!

Sugar and Crumb have a large number of icing sugars so I took the plunge and purchased a couple. Jaffa Twist, Bubble Gum, Coconut & Lime and White Chocolate and Raspberry.

The package is stylish and  eye catching when it arrived. It contains recipes for simple cupcakes and also butter cream icing using the product. What I was also pleasantly surprised to find they can also be used to make fudge, meringues, marshmallows and other delicious treats. Obviously, I will be giving these a go at a later stage.

All of the powder smelt amazing and filled the whole kitchen with the sweet fragrances being used. On the packaging it states that the powder is intense on flavour so I decided to mix half the flavoured icing with half regular icing sugar just so the flavouring wasn't to over powering. I mixed together the butter cream icing one batch after another Charlotte, Mum Dad and I had a taste test of each before I piped them onto the cakes and  the taste of the icing was incredible! The Coconut and Lime tasted like limes with a undercut of sweet coconut but natural – not a synthetic flavour at all. The Bubble Gum flavour brought back memories of when I was a young girl and went to the local corner shop for a 10p bubble gum ball. The most amazing flavour! The Jaffa Twist (Chocolate Orange) tasted exactly like chocolate orange– It’s one of my favourite flavour and a flavour I know so well, it was perfect! Finally the White Chocolate and Raspberry, where do I begin! The flavour is incredible. Sweet tangy raspberry with the white chocolate lingering around on the aftertaste. This icing is hands down one of my favours!

The flavours are strong, natural and add something special to any cake. As well as cocoa powder and icing sugar, Sugar and Crumbs also stock a wide range of coloured sugar paste and their whole range of product flavours is impressive.

I enjoyed these icing sugars so much, that later on in the month I had an cake event which I was more than proud to add Sugar and Crumb Flavoured cupcakes to my collection. I will certainly be adding to my collection with more of these wonderful icings.

Berlin Day 2

Hello Jelly Beans, So todays post is going to be short and sweet, simply because I visited one place and then had to come home due to feeling a little poorly. So first thing was breakfast. Being summoned to the breakfast room this sight greeted me. Freshly squeezed juices, different teas and coffee. Doughnuts, croissants, toast, muffins both sweet and savoury, a huge selection of cereal and of course a fried breakfast. I went for some simple toast and a cuppa tea. Before heading out in the taxi to my next location to explore.   So I hear you all shout "where did you go today"? Well my dear friends, I shall tell you. Today I took a trip to the iconic landmark that is. The Berlin Wall. Well what can I tell you about this wall. The Berlin Wall was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin. The barrier included guard towers placed along large ...

Ford Street Car 1.6 Luxury - Cute & Affordable

Good Evening Everyone. Today I thought that I would start something slightly different as a running series. Car/vehicle reviews. Now I absolutely love my cars and vehicles so thought I would kick off this series with my very own love....The Ford Street Ka!! As much a fashion accessory as a mode of transport, the Street Ka is cute enough to have character, cheap enough to be bought by a single girl about town and sensible enough to serve a useful purpose while it looks good. The solid underpinnings of the car have been stiffened and tweaked to release a wee bit more performance, but this is not a vehicle with any serious sporting pretensions. It's eminently chuckable, but the limitations of the 1.6-litre engine prevent even clog-footed drivers getting themselves into trouble. Around town it's at its best, darting in and out of traffic, nipping into tight parking spaces and performing neat little U-turns. On the motorway it gets a bit too talkative but is f...
