Ford Street Car 1.6 Luxury - Cute & Affordable

Good Evening Everyone.

Today I thought that I would start something slightly different as a running series. Car/vehicle reviews.

Now I absolutely love my cars and vehicles so thought I would kick off this series with my very own love....The Ford Street Ka!!

As much a fashion accessory as a mode of transport, the Street Ka is cute enough to have character, cheap enough to be bought by a single girl about town and sensible enough to serve a useful purpose while it looks good. The solid underpinnings of the car have been stiffened and tweaked to release a wee bit more performance, but this is not a vehicle with any serious sporting pretensions. It's eminently chuckable, but the limitations of the 1.6-litre engine prevent even clog-footed drivers getting themselves into trouble.

Around town it's at its best, darting in and out of traffic, nipping into tight parking spaces and performing neat little U-turns. On the motorway it gets a bit too talkative but is fun in short bursts. Ford's stylists have done an excellent job on the exterior providing an easy-to operate roof, some cute touches such as a rear foglight that looks like a sports exhaust (the real exhaust is a tiny tube tucked away out of sight) and chunky rollover hoops that serve to add some safety while performing the far more important task of looking cool.

The Ka, comes with fully kitted out black leather interior which makes the vehicle look very smart finish. The chairs are positioned slightly lower than in the standard Ka for the sportiness of the vehicle. Although it's a smooth ride, it can get choppy when pushed to a higher speed and become noisy when pushed.

With just two seats, the Street Ka wouldn't be a great asset to the family household. Family shopping trips and after-school taxi duties are off the agenda, but it's perfect for popping down to the gym to work off all that stress.

A massive bonus to this car is the First Car Appeal. A young girl about town or student who would like that typical college student look would fit this car perfectly. Along with it's low running costs it's cute, funny and quirky appearance will certainly get fellow first time car buyers talking.

Pro's
  • Easy to operate hood is robust
  • Cheap running and repair costs
  • Easy to park and drive around town

  • Con's
  • Lacks storage space throughout the cabin
  • Lacks rigidity in tight corners
  • Tin top alternatives more secure
  • Noisy when on motorways at top speed

  • Over all, I love this car. It has everything I need for my journeys. Yes, more space and storage though out the vehicle itself would be a bonus, but for just everyday use, going from A to B it's ideal. I would highly recommend this car to first time buyers as it's cheap to run, looks great and is great for summer fun.

Sugar and Crumb Icing Sugar Review

Good Morning Everyone. I love to cook, I love to bake and love to try new things. Hence why I started a cake and bakes business. There is one thing I love more than anything and that's trying new flavours. This is where the amazing brand Sugar and Crumbs come in. Sugar and Crumb have an amazing range of natural icing sugar and cocoa powder  that I just couldn’t refuse trying out. Not only that, it was the perfect excuse to bake cake!  Sugar and Crumb have a large number of icing sugars so I took the plunge and purchased a couple. Jaffa Twist, Bubble Gum, Coconut & Lime and White Chocolate and Raspberry. The package is stylish and  eye catching when it arrived. It contains recipes for simple cupcakes and also butter cream icing using the product. What I was also pleasantly surprised to find they can also be used to make fudge, meringues, marshmallows and other delicious treats. Obviously, I will be giving these a go at a later stage. A...

Hello Jelly Beans! Anyone here like chocolate? Ok, Does anyone here like chilli chocolate? Yes I hear you shout, But have you had any quality chocolate? Grim Reaper's Hell Raiser Milk Chilli Chocolate  is chocolate for chilli heads. There are plenty of chocolates out there with 'a hint' of chilli but this one is not designed for those people. As Grim Reaper foods develops their packaging designs continue to grow. This bad has the great touch of being sealed on the edge with a ribbon with I love. The packet says "With Devilishly Hot Naga Jolokia, Sweet Orange, Clove Oil & Cinnamon   Can you Handle the Heat? Innocent milk chocolate corrupted with Naga chillies, orange oil, clove oil and cinnamon, bringing you heat summoned from the deepest depths of hell. This devilishly hot bar will test even the most seasoned of chilli lovers !" I would say that is a very accurate and honest description of the wonderful contents awaiting you inside. Each ...
