Mini Shopping Haul!

Hey Jelly Beans.

As promised today is the start of Hixxie Pixie Mania!!!!

So today, after work I went on a little shopping spree. Safe to say Christmas was on my mind and I had been telling myself all day that I was not to come home without something Christmassy for my room. 2 shops, 3 items all Christmas which I was super happy about. Let me show you what I have purchased shall I?

So first I purchased this cute little number. A white glass vanilla candle with a red reindeer pattern on. I haven't yet burnt it, but they had one going in the store and it smelt divine. The store was a little gift shop that had so many nice Christmas items in I could have bought everything. The price I paid was a whole £1!

Next up was this almost to cute for words bottle opener. Now I know I shouldn't be promoting alcohol drinking but when I saw this little guy with his little scarf I couldn't resist. As most of you may know I have the biggest obsession with owls. Well around Christmas penguins are top on my list of animals to purchase. Anyway that's going off at a slight tangent, I had to get this little fellow as my Dad is always misplacing his opener and I thought I would have a spare. Then after Christmas he can still be used as a little decoration on my worktable. Cost £1.99 complete bargain.

Finally was this stunning little man above. I mean seriously how cute is it? A super soft and fluffy snowman is just what my room needed to get me in the Christmas spirit. I think I may go back to the store and buy another one as they had a huge selection of characters. Hmmmm I may just have to do that. Anyway I purchased this and the penguin opener above from a small card store while looking for a birthday card for my Grandfather. £1.99 is what I paid again and I'm extremely happy.

So that's what I purchased today. Like I said it was a small shopping haul but an extremely cute one which made me very very happy.

Sugar and Crumb Icing Sugar Review

Good Morning Everyone. I love to cook, I love to bake and love to try new things. Hence why I started a cake and bakes business. There is one thing I love more than anything and that's trying new flavours. This is where the amazing brand Sugar and Crumbs come in. Sugar and Crumb have an amazing range of natural icing sugar and cocoa powder  that I just couldn’t refuse trying out. Not only that, it was the perfect excuse to bake cake!  Sugar and Crumb have a large number of icing sugars so I took the plunge and purchased a couple. Jaffa Twist, Bubble Gum, Coconut & Lime and White Chocolate and Raspberry. The package is stylish and  eye catching when it arrived. It contains recipes for simple cupcakes and also butter cream icing using the product. What I was also pleasantly surprised to find they can also be used to make fudge, meringues, marshmallows and other delicious treats. Obviously, I will be giving these a go at a later stage. A...

The Christmas season is over and a new year is finally upon us all. So what with all the turkey and left over food/drink everyone will now, no doubt be fed up with looking at I have come up with a little winter warmer for those cold, dark nights when you want a sweet treat. Make way for my very scrummy Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. This recipe is so thick and   creamy, the chocolate just coats you from the inside out.  I love nothing more than sitting inside, next to a roaring fire, with a big mug of hot chocolate – with a tall tower of whipped cream, of course.
