Berlin Day 2

Hello Jelly Beans, So todays post is going to be short and sweet, simply because I visited one place and then had to come home due to feeling a little poorly. So first thing was breakfast. Being summoned to the breakfast room this sight greeted me. Freshly squeezed juices, different teas and coffee. Doughnuts, croissants, toast, muffins both sweet and savoury, a huge selection of cereal and of course a fried breakfast. I went for some simple toast and a cuppa tea. Before heading out in the taxi to my next location to explore.   So I hear you all shout "where did you go today"? Well my dear friends, I shall tell you. Today I took a trip to the iconic landmark that is. The Berlin Wall. Well what can I tell you about this wall. The Berlin Wall was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin. The barrier included guard towers placed along large ...

Berlin Trip Day 1

Hello Jelly Beans As I sit here with cocktail in hand, I hear you all cry "where are you now Sophie?" Well my friends I'm on a mini break in Germany, in the simply stunning Berlin. I arrived here late last night so didn't get much time to do much exploring. But with that said I did get to visit one place I have always wanted to see. I am currently staying in the Pentahotel which I can safely say is the most amazing hotel I have had the honour of staying in. The Pentahotel have provided with the best room I have ever stayed in. The picture below is my little slice of heaven for the next few days, and boy am I happy about that. The bed is so soft and comfy its like falling asleep on a cloud {Or what I imagine sleeping on a cloud would feel like}. The colour scheme as you can see are warm and comforting making it a welcoming room to come back to at the end of a busy day exploring. A huge selection of tea, coffee hot chocolate (which you don't always get) and bisc...

Sunny Spain Break. Day Three (Final Day)

Hey Jelly Beans. Today is my last day. I really really don't want to go home. I have had far to much fun over the last couple days and I don't want to leave it here. I feel I have much more to explore and see here. Oh well I guess that means Spain? I Will Be Back!! Today has been fantastic. For those of you who don't know me, I have a little sister who is obsessed with Bonsai trees. Well when eating breakfast I came across a little advert, advertising a bonsai tree centre which was just scream for me to go check it out. So off I went, and I wasn't disappointed!       For those of you who don't know what Bonsai trees are, they are miniature trees (shown above) which are popular gifts in the UK at the moment. The pictures above are just a few of the tree's that they have in this magical place. If you are interested in trees and small trees, this is the place for you to visit. I spent a good couple of hours looking around all the trees. They range...

Sunny Spain Break Day Two.

Good Morning Jelly Beans. Hope all are well. I had the most fantastic nights sleep. That bed is sooo comfy. fresh fruit salad breakfast today which was mega filling. Anyway today I went to Puerto Banus Marina. One word. WOW!! The size of some of the boats (more cruise liner size) were amazing. There was one in particular that caught my eye. I would have paid to have a tour around it. Must have cost a few Million at least! I did realise though everywhere you turned there, you would see top of the range black and white cars pulled up along side the water edge. That's when I realised that this area was for the wealthier people of Spain. Still I was here to explore so the picture above was taken looking down the car park by the marina to the right of the picture.      As I was looking around the different size boats and there cars, I noticed just off this picture something bright blue shining in the water. Taking a closer look, I realised there was a shoal of fis...

Sunny Spain Break. Day One

Hey Jelly Beans. Well I'm here in Sunny Spain. Staying in the stunning Vincci Seleccion Estrella del Mar Hotel. I'm here for 3 nights so was expecting a certain standard to the hotel, as the location in Marbella has a reputation for having high standards. So far so good. Staff friendly and helpful, fresh orange juice waiting for me for when I arrived. The room has the most spectacular sea views and is so comfortable, stylish and clean. Out of all the hotels I have stayed in this one beats them all so far. I'm not planning on doing much today after the flight. I'm just going to stay here in my room, take in the view and plan my next two days here. Speak soon lovelies. Hixxie Pixie xoxoxox

Dublin Break. Day Three {Final Day}

Hey Jelly Beans. Today was my final day here in Dublin. I'm Currently sat outside a cute little cafĂ© having a coffee after visiting The Science Gallery.   This attraction is well worth the visit. It's free, interesting and if you love anything Science related then you will love this place. I spent a long while looking around the exhibit's which were truly fascinating. I noticed that there were many families in there with younger children, so I suggest it would be a good place to visit during the holidays with children.   Once I had finished I took a stroll along the streets and pottered around all the little shops before taking a well earned break here.   Like I said today has been my last day here in Dublin. Cases packed and ready to head home tomorrow and I will miss it here.   Overall Experience.   I have had such a blast here seeing some truly amazing things. The Castle was amazing and worth the trip but the thing that stood out mos...
